Using the internet to look for people is an interesting way to conduct free people searches. Free people searches can be done from a number of places including sites that act as people locators. There is an alternative way to look for people other than the sites and that is to search for the person from any search engine.
A number of people would rather conduct this search in Google even though it would also work with the other search engines because Google is at present rated as the top search engine. Differences in search results arise depending on the instructions that you give when you are conducting a particular search. These instructions are normally encoded in what are called syntaxes. That’s all just terminology and the actual side of it is easy. Let us look at how to Google peoples’ names using these syntaxes.
Make sure that when you type in the name you enclose it inside quotation marks as in the following example, “Jim Best”. The syntaxes in this case are the quotation marks and make sure that only Jim Best results are showed not Jim or Best outcome. That is one way of how to Google people’s names.
You can also use the plus (+) or minus/subtract (-) syntaxes. The plus you use to add data that should be incorporated into the search and the minus to for data that should not be a part of the search. As an example “Patrick West” + artist will look for all the documents that have that name and the word artist in them if the person that you are looking for is an artist of course.
The minus (-) works the opposite in this way of how to Google person’s name. The minus excludes all the pages that you don’t want searched. For instance “Kobe Bryant” – basketball will search for Kobe Bryant except for those that mention basketball, because you’re searching for a different Kobe Bryant.
