Sleek and slim style- The Samsung CLX 2160N printer is undoubtedly slim and sleek, boasting with super compact dimensions of 16×14x13 inches and a rather bulky 37 Pounds. Print quality- Print quality is really not good at all. Text is printed in chunky and thick characters with jagged edges. Photo print quality is plain terrible with a fuzzy appearance to images and a serious lack detail. Smearing is also common in terms of text over colour printing. The only real wow factor to printing is the vibrant ink colours and quality at 2400×600 dpi. Quality toner in vibrant shades doesn’t say much when actual print quality is so poor. Paper- The printer comes standard with a very limited 150 sheet paper tray. Media types accepted by the printer include Plain, pre-punched, glossy and recycled paper, envelopes, labels and cards. The maximum media size compatible with the tray is legal.

Systems- All major operating systems are compatible with the printer including Windows, Apple Mac and Linux. This is good news for especially Apple Mac users who often encounter system and printer compatibility problems.

Warranty- A 12 month warranty comes standard with your purchase. However you should keep in mind that labour and parts coverage is limited. Use only genuine Samsung consumables and ensure that dealers are approved to conduct repairs or service to the printer as this can have a possible negative impact on your warranty if person is unauthorised.

Connectivity- There are no old fashioned connection options available on this device. The printer can be connected to your computer by means of either USB 2.0 or Ethernet connections. Note that USB cable is not included with printer.

Disadvantage- Paper jams are a common problem encountered with the printer. A lot of time can be wasted on the total dismantlement required to fix the jam. Over loading of the paper tray can cause jams. However under loading can also have the same affect. Another cause of jams is the removal of prints too soon after production.
