What resolution must a video be created at to display full screen on a plasma tv w/o the tv screen adjusting?

I am working on a flash video that will be displaying on a 42" plasma at a tradeshow and I was wondering what screen resolution the file had to be created at to display on the entire screen. The resolution on my TV says 1024/768. Isn't 1080P HD much higher than that?
